Location: Alaska preferred (or open to relocation); alternatively, Minneapolis, Portland, or Seattle with regular travel to Alaska required

Your Opportunity: This role is ideal for a Project Developer with a Project Management or Program Management background and extensive experience in renewable energy. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of multiple projects, managing diverse stakeholders and navigating the complexities of Alaska’s unique transmission and interconnection landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end development of utility-scale renewable energy projects in Alaska.

• Manage project and portfolio-level entitlement, interconnection, and permitting efforts within the Alaska market.

• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure alignment with company goals, while managing project execution from planning to completion.

• Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of projects during various stages of development, including site assessments and feasibility studies.

• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the development process, providing concise, actionable recommendations to leadership.

• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, including contractors, local utilities, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and industry standards, proactively addressing any compliance issues.

• Coordinate with engineering teams and external service providers to ensure technical alignment and successful project execution.

• Address and mitigate risks associated with cold climate environments, ensuring that unique local challenges are properly managed throughout development.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or qualification in Civil or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent work experience)

• 8+ years of Project Development experience in wind or solar, taking multiple projects from origination to NTP, with at least 5 executed projects

• 6+ years as a Project Manager or Program Manager

• Background in service industry i.e. engineering or environmental services (not purely IPP experience)

• Experience working in cold climates

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
